David Bravo has been playing keyboards in synagogues on Friday nights, Saturday mornings and High Holidays for over 10 years.

He started at BJ in Manhattan allowing Ari Priven the wonderful cantor/keyboardist to have an occasional weekend off.

He then started playing on the High Holidays at a new offshoot of BJ in Riverdale called Temple Tehillah where he has been for the past 6 years.

He also put together a quartet of musicians to back up Cantor Howard Stahl at TBJ Temple in Short Hills New Jersey. They have been "Jazzing" up the service there for the past 3 years to crowds of over 500 people on Friday nights.

In between all this David also played in Connecticut at Cantor Deborah Jacobson's Temple as well as the Community Synagogue in Long Island backing up Cantor Claire Franco and Rabbi Irwin Zeplowitz.

These "Jazzed" up Friday nights have turned out to be immensely popular with congregants and visitors alike.

David has also produced and recorded numerous CD's, including a CD for Cantor Howard Stahl at Temple B'nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, New Jersey called Shabbat B'Shir and played on and consulted for Cantor Deborah Jacobson on her Synagogue CD as well.

If you are interested in starting this kind of service at your synagogue, David is available to help with the concept, musicians and the material for the service itself. David is even willing to come to your community for the first service, to work with the musicians, cantor, soloist or rabbi in preparation for a regular musical service.
